This project maps home learning environments in Danish families, establishes a typology of different learning environments and uses Danish panel data to examine what types of home learning environments that supports children’s development og cognitive and non-cognitive skills. The project asks the following research questions: 1. What are the different types of home learning environments in Danish families? 2. What is the relationship between home learning environments and children’s cognitive and non-cognitive skills? In answering these questions, the project will be able to contribute substantially to our knowledge on successful home learning environments, and to future interventions aimed at disadvantaged families.
