Vibeke Myrup is a senior researcher with expertise in education polity, focusing on how the organization of early childhood education and primary schooling affects children’s learning, well-being, and development. Her recent work examines school-based interventions and the impact of organizational and curricular changes on student outcomes.

In early childhood education, her research covers the effects of kindergarten attendance, age at entry, early school transition, and the role of peer composition and staffing conditions. In primary education, she has evaluated major policy reforms, including the Danish public-school reform and targeted funding schemes introduced to support learning recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic. More recently, she has focused on the design and evaluation of interventions for early literacy acquisition and for pupils with mild learning difficulties.

Her work primarily uses applied micro econometric methods and randomized controlled trials, based on administrative register data from Statistics Denmark and the Danish Agency for IT and Learning, supplemented by survey or local municipal administrative data.
